Zoma Appearsby *Felissa

Artisan Crafts / Costumery / Costumes / Cosplay & Role-Playing

Gah! I completely forgot to post this! This is my partner's costume he wore at Anime Boston this year. He's Zoma from Dragon Quest. It was a collaborative effort, I helped with the sculpting and painting, and did all the sewing.

A detailed breakdown:
Him: Helmet sculpt & paint, Mask sculpt, all wonderflex & friendly plastic (armor & claws)
me: all sewing, armor paint, necklace sculpt & paint, mask base & paint
a buddy: brilliant idea after seeing a tap light in CVS

I wasn't there. If anybody was there and on the off chance snapped a photo of him I'd love it if you'd send it to me. <3

Oh geeze, I can't even begin to calculate the cost of how much friendly plastic we'd need.

Unfortunately we didn't do anything this year, he's just going as himself. (I think the hassle of this one burned him out for doing anything complicated ever again XD )

Dragon Quest III was my absolute favorite RPG of all time and, while I didn't quite think Zoma was a spectacular villian, I never forgot about him, he put up quite a good fight. But never have I ever seen a cosplay of him, and this? This is -perfect-. Every detail is there, not one thing is missing. I only wish I could've been there, I could've cosplayed as Roto with you XDD
